I think because some of BMW’s newer design language and decisions rub people the wrong way upon first impression. I find myself going back and forth. I like the 7’s new exterior/interior, on the fence with the X7 LCI (I’ve got a 2020 M50i), and cannot take how the new curved screen looks like it’s been dropped in and bolted to some of the latest models with little to no consideration for integrating it with the dash. Two-tone paint has never been my cup of tea, but I can understand how some people like it; it makes a statement.
